For many of us in East Sussex this weekend, we shared an array of sunshine, clouds and downpours. Although we were grateful for the breeze, after last weeks heatwave, it makes for tricky times when choosing what outfit to wear to suit the weather. Thankfully, we had already raided the Darcey Summer Sale for all our favourite pieces and with brands such as Sandwich Clothing, Masai and Adini on offer with 25% off, we knew we would be ready for Summer, whatever the weather.
So, this Saturday we awoke to scorching hot sunshine and the opportunity to go strawberry picking. Our white Gardeur Dyan Cropped Trousers were ruled out immediately, for obvious reasons and we set our sights on the Cut Loose Wide Leg Linen Trousers in Inkjet £64.50 and the Cut Loose Plain Shell Top in White £36.75. The lightweight linen trousers were cool and comfortable and the shell top just incredibly easy to wear, with a nice loose fit for warmer weather.
Sunday's outfit is definitely a Summer staple and will no doubt be in continuous use throughout the holiday season. The venue, Michelham Priory, in Lower Dicker, East Sussex. Just 15minutes either side of our two Darcey boutiques in Lewes and Heathfield. Such a lovely place to explore, full of history and the most beautifully kept gardens.
The rain had decided to show it's face in Sussex, not so much to spoil the day but to keep us a little more covered in our choice of outfit than the previous day. We decided to layer up a little, with our Simclan Crinkle Cotton Print Dress £79.50, Masai Ionela Cream Cardigan £57 and Sandwich Clothing Solid Cotton Scarf £21.
We had such a fun-filled weekend, exploring the grounds of Michelham Priory and fruit picking ready for delicious scones and cream. All in the most stylish of outfits. So, if you're in need of a wardrobe overhaul or just like to update a few staple pieces for Summer, visit our Summer Sale online at www.darcey.co.uk or our two boutiques in East Sussex.
