Herstmonceux was first opened to the public in 1927 and is renowned for its magnificent moated castle set in beautiful parkland and superb Elizabethan walled gardens, leading to lovely discoveries such as their rhododendron, rose and herb gardens and onto woodland trails.

Visit Pashley Manor Gardens, to see Romantic English landscaping and artistic planting framed by fine old trees, fountains and ponds, with the unusual Tudor/Georgian manor house, creating an exquisite backdrop to their beautiful gardens. Pashley Manor is a Grade I listed timber-framed house, dating from 1550, the owners opened the gardens to the public in 1992, the late Anthony du Gard Pasley was the eminent landscape architect to help bring the gardens to their splendour.

Sheffield Park has acres of landscaped gardens bordered by historic parkland & woodland. A horticultural work of art, with influences of 'Capability' Brown and Humphry Repton. Four lakes form the heart of the garden, with paths circulating through the glades and wooded areas. Each owner has left their impression, which can still be seen today in the layout of the lakes, the construction of Pulham Falls, the planting of Palm Walk and the many tree and shrub species from around the world. The parkland area has been transformed to graze livestock and into a wildlife haven and is home to a diverse range of species including kingfishers, birds of prey, butterflies, and dragonflies.
